Would you please be so kind as to provide the cooking instructions (including salt quantity) for raw, dried, SHELLED peanuts? I have 2 beautiful bags of them! Thank you!
The amount of salt for boiling raw peanuts is the same whether the peanuts are in the shell, or not. We suggest you start with 1/2 cup of salt per gallon of water, which is 1 tablespoon per pint of water. Use more or less salt to your taste.
You will have to decide on the boiling time based on how soft you like your boiled peanuts. Sample them early, sample them often while they are boiling. Shelled peanuts will boil quicker than peanuts in the shell.
