How many pounds of peanuts do you boil?

Hello, can you please tell me how many pounds of raw peanuts do you boil at once? How many pounds of peanuts fill up a stock pot? There are many different sizes of stockpots. I have a 30 quart.

The answer to this question is simple; 30 quarts equals 7.5 gallons right? Yes but since peanuts float, because of the air trapped inside, putting that much peanuts in a pot that size does not work. When cooking a 50 pound bag of peanuts I would put roughly 1/4th of the bag or 10-15 pounds of peanuts in a 30 quart pot. This will net you 5-7 gallon size Ziplocs of boiled peanuts. One for now and more to freeze for later. A word of advice start them a full day or two before you want to eat them.
